Leah VanAndel

Leah is a Speech-Language Pathologist raised in Halifax who is passionate about helping children and adults build confident and functional communication skills. She has experience supporting children and adults with a variety of communication needs and is known for her calm, welcoming, and collaborative approach.  

As a parent, she has loved having a front-row seat to watch her own children’s language develop in real time, supporting and celebrating their growth every step of the way. 

Outside of work, Leah enjoys playing the piano, crafting, hiking, and camping. She cherishes slowing down to embrace everyday moments with her husband and two young children. 

About Leah

Leah earned her Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Dalhousie University. She is registered with the Nova Scotia Regulator of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology.

Leah offers assessment and therapy for children, youth, and adults in the following areas: 

  • Articulation 

  • Speech Sound Production 

  • Early Communication Development 

  • Preschool Language Development 

  • School-Aged Language Development 

  • Parent & Caregiver Coaching 

  • Fluency (i.e.: stuttering)
